Miscanthus sinensis 'Strictus'
Miscanthus sinensis Strictus
Grass, Porcupine Grass
5-6', horizontal bands of green and yellow feathery beige plumes. Much better variety than M.sinensis Zebrinus as this one stays erect like a very well-behaved plant.
Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips:
Grower Tip: Miscanthus requires warm temperatures to break dormancy. After transplanting grow at 60 degrees F minimum night temperature. Growing at colder temperatures will retard growth or result in grass rotting. Do not let freeze once planted. Keep moderately dry until new growth is evident.
